Our Mission
We exist to make disciples of Jesus, who will impact our world today and for generation to come. We are a group of believers who are actively being the change wherever we are – living lives that point others to Christ. Our mission is achieved through our commitment to connect, grow, and serve.
Connect
We all need personal relationships. We all need to belong to a community. We all have a sense of belonging. At Orange Hills, we encourage connecting with God and other believers through our worship services, Growth Groups, and various church gatherings. We are also called to connect with others outside of our church, to share with them the good news of Jesus Christ, and to invite them to be a part of our loving community.
Grow
We believe that everyone from the oldest to the youngest, is called to grow in this lifelong process. The beauty of God’s love for us, is that He loves us just the way that we are. He also loves us so much, that He doesn’t want us to stay that way! In other words, God wants us to grow in love, character, and spiritual maturity in our relationships with God and others. Our goal at Orange Hills, is to offer a variety of opportunities that encourage this growth. On Sundays, we offer three different, but equally important, settings. At 9 am, we have a Christian Education hour which includes an extensive discipleship program. At 10:30 am, is our worship service, where the entire Orange Hills family comes together for a time of praise and worship, followed by a relevant message from Pastor Brian. At 6 pm, we have “Growth Groups”, our small group ministry. These groups are designed to bring us together in a smaller, more intimate setting. There is a time of worship, a Bible study, and a time of prayer and fellowship.
Serve
At Orange Hills, we believe that God has called us to serve the needs of others with love and compassion. Serving is a great way to help others and make a difference. We believe that the Holy Spirit gives every Christian at least one spiritual gift for the purpose of service and building up the church. By serving individually and as a community, God’s love is seen and experienced by others in the midst of a broken and hurting world. At Orange Hills, there is a variety of ministry and service opportunities. Some of these opportunities help support ministries within the church, such as greeting guests, volunteering in our children’s and youth programs, or serving on one of our audio/visual teams. We also offer opportunities to serve our community including, serving in our food ministry, participating in our various outreach events, or going on one of our annual mission’s trips. There is a place for everyone. We believe that as we all work together and commit ourselves to these three areas, that God will use Orange Hills to impact not only people in our community, but to impact the world. To be the church He intended us to be.
